In 2019, ECOS not only delivered on its objectives, but also continued to grow.

Thanks to a committed team, members, external experts, and support from funders, we were able to expand our work to new policy areas and campaigns. We won the fight for new laws to make several products easier to repair and more energy efficient, under the banner of the Coolproducts campaign, and helped launch the European Right to Repair campaign. We also immersed ourselves in our work tackling plastic pollution, as part of the Rethink Plastic alliance.

Our successes helped shape standards and laws promoting a clean transition to a circular economy and combatting climate change. We worked towards a more inclusive and transparent standardisation system, particularly at the international level.

We were also thrilled to welcome four new members to our network, at the same time reviewing and improving the services we provide to members.
