Join our workshop! Environmental Design & Labelling ‐ Role of Standards & Policy in India and EU

Implementing policy and standards at all stages of a product life cycle can exert high impacts on the resource-saving potential of products and promote circular economy and resource efficiency. This is why Environmental Design and Labelling are effective tools for improving the energy efficiency of products.

Ecodesign sets the minimum mandatory requirement for the energy efficiency of products such as household appliances, information and communication technologies, or engineering, as well as improving their environmental performance.

Energy Labelling Regulation complements the ecodesign requirements with mandatory ecolabelling requirements.

Would you like to know more about ecodesign and energy labelling regulation and its role in circular economy? Join our Workshop titled ‘Circular Economy: Environmental Design & Labelling ‐ Role of Standards & Policy in India and EU’!

With our partners in India, ECOS proposed this workshop to engage policy-makers and standardisation organisations in a lively discussion on a transition to the circular economy through ecodesign and energy labelling. Attendees will share best practices, work areas and synergies between India and the EU. ECOS Executive Director Justin Wilkes will give the opening address. Our Head of Circular Economy Ioana Popescu will highlight progress and challenges in this field, and our Director Global Engagement Pam Tarif will explore how environmental players can get more involved in developing the standards. The physical workshop will conclude with High Tea and offline deliberations among speakers and panelists.
