Online workshop! Why standards matter for environmental protection – zooming in on cement
Together with our members Green Transition Denmark, we are organising an online workshop focusing on why (and how!) civil society should get involved in standardisation. The effective participation of environmental NGOs in standards-making is key to making sure our planet is protected by robust rules - and this year we are focusing on the case of cement.
Join our online workshop, learn more about civil society engagement in standardisation and take a deep dive into how standards can help decarbonise the cement sector!
Bringing together speakers from the European Commission, the Danish Standards Body as well as Danish industry and academics, we will discuss:
- Why it is important for civil society to be involved in standardisation;
- How engagement of eNGOs in standards-making can be facilitated;
- How standards can help push for the green transition of construction materials and, in particular, cement.
