How EU Member States can slash waste when implementing new packaging rules

National and local governments could slash record levels of packaging waste if they follow this roadmap. Waste is one of the biggest environmental crises of our time, and a symptom of our linear economy. Packaging, which is typically single-use, is a major contributor to this waste crisis.

The EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), even though lacking in some areas, could support national and local governments in curbing Europe’s out-of-control packaging crisis. This report from the Rethink Plastic alliance shows how.
