Ecodesign & energy labelling requirements for mobile phones and tablets – joint NGO response to European Commission inception impact assessment

Read our feedback to the European Commission's initiative for 'Energy labelling of mobile phones and tablets – informing consumers about environmental impact'. Co-signed by ECOS, EEB, Coolproducts, Right to Repair and iFixit.

To ensure that smartphones and tablets are energy-efficient, durable, easy to repair and to upgrade, we need a combination of minimum ecodesign requirements coupled
with consumer information requirements under the Energy Labelling Regulation.
