Webinar | How can the Industrial Accelerator Act scale up the market for low-carbon construction products?

By Tudor Cherhat

80% vs 5%. That is the gap between what Europe could achieve on publicly procured low-carbon concrete – and what the IAA currently proposes. Join us on 5 November from 10:00 to 11:00 (CET) to explore how Europe can scale up investments in low-carbon solutions through robust lead market measures.

  • When? 5 November 2026 at 10 AM
  • Where? Online

What can you expect?

We are bringing together key actors from the construction value chain, policymaking and civil society. Together, we will look at what research shows a meaningful and industry-aligned quota could look like for carbon-intensive materials. We will also discuss the importance of ensuring the Industry Accelerator Act, Public Procurement Act, and Construction Products Regulation work together.

Meet the speakers:

  • Federica Di Sario, moderator
  • Jen Carson, The Climate Group
  • Tudor Cherhat, ECOS
  • Xavier Le Den, Ramboll
  • Titouan Proud’hon, Bouygues Europe

Why join?

Construction is one of the sectors where public procurement can have the most impact. It accounts for 35% of EU public contracts, while 31% of construction works are linked to public money. The Industrial Accelerator Act can unlock decarbonisation through ambitious low-carbon quotas, notably for concrete and steel.

Evidence shows that industry is ready for higher ambition, but a strong demand signal is needed to de-risk investments. With discussions around the IAA advancing, now is the chance to make that happen. Register here!
