New Energy Label must be introduced quickly to slash energy use and household bills

22/03/2017

The European Parliament, Commission and Council reached a longawaited conclusion on the revision of EU energy labelling rules on Tuesday night. It is now confirmed that the EU Energy Label will go back to its previous structure of A – G, removing the confusing plusses (A+, A++, A+++). Although this is good news for European energy consumption and household bills, the failure to set a common deadline to introduce the new label will still negatively impact EU energy consumption and consumers.
