Kicking off ETSI collaboration

ECOS became a member of ETSI, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, in spring 2015. ECOS Director Laura Degallaix presented ECOS’ organisation and work plan, as well as expectations from the collaboration, at the ETSI 66th General Assembly meeting in Nice-Sofia Antipolis, on 17-18 November 2015.

ECOS is interested in contributing to ETSI’s activities in the areas of Energy Efficiency, Smart Energy Systems and Smart Appliances, Intelligent Transport Systems and information and communications technology (ICT). At the General Assembly, ECOS invited ETSI to firmly commit to promoting sustainability and ensuring inclusiveness, including the effective participation of societal stakeholders, in the development of ICT standards, and the European standardisation system as a whole.
