ECOS at the 2015 European Standardisation Summit in Riga

Can we have zero-energy buildings in Europe? ECOS’ Policy Officer Christoforos Spiliotopoulos will be explaining how this can be made possible at the European Standardisation Summit in Riga on the 4th of June. Stressing the importance of a common language, and robust methodologies, ECOS believes that through following its recommendations, seen in the leaflet below, a higher grasp of desired energy savings can be stimulated.

The European Standardisation Summit brings together high-level representatives from 33 European Standardisation Organisations (CEN/CENELEC), international standardisation organisations (ISO, IEC), 50 national standards bodies, the European Commission, and the international business environment.

The theme this year focuses on the construction sector, which is of great economic value to the whole EU, with a view to answer the question:
How can standardisation further the transition to a cleaner and smarter economy?

The summit will be live-streamed here.
