ecoGator – Your personal app for energy saving shopping

Developed through the Efficiency 2.1 project, ecoGator is a free app which helps consumers identify and buy the most energy-efficient products on the market. It also gives tips on how to save money at home carrying out day-to-day activities. 

The app builds on the European energy label schemes through a scanning function, comparing products with those available on Topten at national level in nine countries – Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, and Spain. A UK version of the app is currently being developed.

The app has been awarded the best energy efficiency project during the 2015 European Sustainable Energy week.
