10 Key Steps to get the Circular Economy back on track

11 NGOs, including ECOS, have called on the European Parliament to introduce 10 key changes to get the circular economy back on track. These ten changes can maximise the potential of a circular economy and eliminate loopholes that could be used by Member States to avoid necessary action.

By following these key steps, discussions regarding these topics taking place in European standardisation will become clearer. ECOS believes that more political direction and coherence is needed to support standardisation efforts and protecting the environment. Although standards are essential in supporting key actions of the EU Circular Economy Package, they can only be only reliable if supported by strong binding regulation.
