This briefing will help stakeholders anticipate and prepare for forthcoming policy and standardisation changes in the construction sector and timber industry. We provide insights into how these sectors can align their practices with environmental best practice and explore recent developments in two major EU legal frameworks which impact forests, wood, and construction:

  • The Renewable Energy Directive (RED III)
  • The Construction Products Regulation (CPR)

Update: June 2025 – learn more about developments in EU policy and standards and explore the untapped potential of public procurement to drive demand for sustainable construction materials in our second briefing in this series.
