Doreen Fedrigo on The Future of Plastics

On September 24, in Brussels, DG Research and Innovation (European Commission) organised a meeting session on "The Future of Plastics". ECOS Head of Circular Economy Policy, Doreen Fedrigo was invited to speak about the impact of plastics on humans and the environment.

Reduce our use of plastics, design products that are easy to recycle, and tackle chemicals in products are considered important phases in the circuit of plastic products. She stressed the importance of designing out negative environmental and social impacts of products from the design phase, an issue, identified by the audience, as the most important topic of discussion.
