ECOS at the EU Sustainable Energy Week
Energy Label 2.015
Exploring the potential of flexible demand
In an event focusing on how to capture the potential of flexible demand, the IDEAS platform, of which ECOS is a member of, demonstrated why realising the full potential of demand-side flexibility is essential, and why it must be a priority of action for the Energy Union, in order to collectively design an innovative energy paradigm for Europe’s energy transition.
The Vice President for the Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, addressed the audience in a video message which can be seen here.
Eco-design of Building Automation Control Systems
Senior Policy Officer Stamatis Sivitos contributed to a panel discussion on building automation control systems (BACS), advocating for their inclusion in the next Ecodesign Working Plan; this is also supported by the respective industry and will be an opportunity to investigate further the significant savings potential expected from BACS. Futher information about the discussions and presentations which took place can be found here.
