Successful workshop on NGO participation in standardisation in Zagreb

header final2On 21 September ECOS and our Croatian member DOOR, held a workshop in Zagreb (Croatia), which gathered a number of environmental NGOs and civil society representatives.

The workshop entitled “Standardisation: Why get involved?” aimed to highlight the added value which standards can bring to environmental protection and citizens’ welfare, while encouraging civil society to contribute to their development, especially at national level.

The workshop in Zagreb gathered nearly 40 participants and allowed DOOR to reaffirm their plan to engage in standardisation in the field of energy, as well as set an example for other Croatian NGOs working on different key areas.

The workshop held in Zagreb was the third in a series of workshop ECOS organises with its national members, and part of our work on capacity building and raising awareness about the relevance of integrating standards into national NGOs priorities.
