Event in Stockholm! Why standards matter for environmental protection – zooming in on circular economy

Together with our member Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, we are organising an event in Stockholm looking at why and how civil society should get involved in standardisation in Sweden. The effective participation of environmental NGOs in standards-making is key to making sure our planet is protected by robust rules – and this year we are focusing on the role standards can play to bring about circular economy.

Join the event in Stockholm to learn more about civil society engagement in standardisation and take a deep dive into how standards can help putting in place a circular economy!

Bringing together speakers from the Swedish Institute for Standards, the Swedish Delegation for Circular Economy, the Swedish Environmental Research Institute, as well as civil society and the private sector, we will discuss:

  • Why it is important for civil society to be involved in standardisation;
  • How engagement of eNGOs in standards-making can be facilitated in Sweden;
  • How standards can help implement a more circular economy.

This in-person event will be in Swedish.
