ECOS issues a favourable opinion on the method for dishwashers
ECOS submitted a favourable opinion on the final draft standard for "Electric dishwashers for household use - Methods for measuring the performance (FprEN 60436)".
ECOS supports the modifications to further improve the standard, in particular in relation to the combined cleaning and drying performance test, the definitions and measurement methods concerning the low power modes, and the diversification of reference materials and dishware.
However, in view of the next revision, ECOS recommends that the Working Group works further on such key issues as water regeneration operations, which are currently disregarded, or improving the reference material and dishware to reflect user behaviour, as well as to avoid harmful materials.
