ECOS is hiring! – Senior Programme Manager – Buildings & Industry
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Programme Manager to join our Circular Economy team to lead our engagement in the development of policies and standards towards a decarbonised, sustainable and circular built environment and industry.

Your main tasks will be to:
- Lead ECOS strategy in the field of buildings & industry, with a view to promote the environmental interest in international and European policies and standards
- Create impact through advocacy, standardisation and campaigns
- Lead a team of Programme Managers
- Develop a portfolio of grants aligned with our strategic objectives
- Contribute to ECOS strategic development
- Raise ECOS profile at national, European and international level, and notably towards standardisation organisations, European institutions, UN fora, etc.
- Engage and collaborate with our members, other NGOs and stakeholders
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with NGOs, institutions, consultancies, or companies working in the environmental field
- Knowledge of the buildings and/or industrial policies at national, European or international level
- Demonstrated experience in developing & implementing strategies to achieve change
- Line management experience
- Commitment to the values, vision and mission of environmental NGOs
- Strong analytical skills & ability to translate technical content into relatable information
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent writing, communication, networking and negotiation skills
- Fluent English, other languages an asset

- An open-ended Belgian contract with a competitive salary package €4,000- €5,160 according to the ECOS salary scale and depending on skills and relevant experience of the candidate
