ECOS is hiring! – Coalition Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated Coalition Manager to join our team and lead a multi-stakeholder coalition on the decarbonisation of the built environment, specifically cement and concrete. You are skilled at building consensus, experienced at EU advocacy, appreciative of the needs of first mover innovative companies, and passionate about decarbonisation.

Deadline: 6 March 2022

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Shape and lead a multi-stakeholder coalition to decarbonise the cement and concrete sector, coordinating a diverse network of partners (progressive companies, think-tanks, NGOs), all working towards the same objective
  • Ensure the Coalition’s voice is heard in relevant policy fora, notably the European institutions
  • Produce impactful materials and strategies in response to targets and opportunities stemming from policy and standardisation
  • Be the spokesperson of the Coalition, developing clear and impactful messages
  • Drive and coordinate an ambitious project involving diverse stakeholders and several team members.

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the environmental field
  • Demonstrated experience in developing & implementing strategies to achieve change, ideally by leading multi-stakeholder coalitions or campaigns
  • Knowledge of the buildings and/or industrial policies at national, European or international level
  • Commitment to the values, vision and mission of environmental NGOs
  • Strong analytical skills & ability to translate technical content into relatable information
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent writing, communication, networking, diplomatic and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent English, other languages an asset
