Following more than ten years of REACH, the regulation’s annexes are being revised so that the EU chemicals legislation addresses nanomaterials directly. An open meeting is being organised in Brussels in October to discuss standards and nanotechnology for safer products, production and uses. This is an opportunity to hear what standards bodies have been doing, and to take part in round tables discussing the coherence between scientific knowledge, standardisation activities and regulation as well as on the usefulness to society of the upcoming standardisation work.
