ECOS has joined forces with CEN-CENELEC, ANEC and ETUC in developing a free interactive online tool that provides clear and useful information about standards and the standardisation process in Europe, as well as on the national and international levels.
From the products we buy and the places we live, to the services we receive: standards play a key role for consumers, workers and the environment. Our online course is divided into 7 modules, which will help you understand how civil society can engage in the standardisation work. Based on your area of interest, you can choose to follow a specific module (consumers, workers or the environment). The course was designed for everyone, regardless of their level of knowledge and background but caters in particular for the needs of civil society.
All you want to know about standards but were afraid to ask!
The tool will be launched on 12 October, during the “Standards meet the Future” conference, celebrating World Standards Day. We will be present with a stand, a perfect opportunity to stress that standards will “meet the Future” only if they reflect the needs of civil society, taking into account the needs and wishes of consumers, safeguarding the health and safety of workers, and ensuring environmental protection.
Stay tuned – the link will be published on our website!
