The Ecopliant project – supported by the EU Intelligent Energy Europe program – is a project involving official market surveillance authorities in 10 EU Member States.

The objective is to develop new approaches and tools to improve the collaboration between national market surveillance authorities, including the coordination of the monitoring, verification and enforcement of Ecodesign regulations.  It will identify and share best practice.

ECOS is not a partner of the project, but sits on the steering committee created for external stakeholders. ECOS aims at reinforcing the exchanges between civil society organisations and official authorities, as well as encouraging transparent and useful progress in market surveillance of Ecodesign and Energy Labelling.
