The Annual Union Work Program (AUWP) is released by the European Commission every year in June and sets out their priorities for European standardisation in line with their policy objectives for the following year.
Through the AUWP, the Commission and actors of the European Standardisation System can improve their cooperation, and any interested party is informed about upcoming developments and can decide to get involved.
ECOS welcomes the opportunity to comment on the preliminary draft AUWP 2018 where we address the Commission’s proposals on standardisation work in the areas of:
- Transparency and inclusiveness in the standards development process
- Climate change & clean energy
- Circular economy
- Environmental health
