REPRESENTING ENVIRONMENTAL INTERESTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECODESIGN PRODUCT REGULATIONS AND EUROPEAN STANDARDS

ECOS is looking for experts of various product groups to represent environmental interests in the development of Ecodesign / Energy Labelling Product Regulations, and related Standards. Experts will provide technical and scientific input into discussions, in accordance with the related policy context and ECOS strategy.
The experts should have expertise in one or several of the below product groups:
- PV panels
- High pressure cleaners
- Power transformers
- Industrial fans
- Professional washing machines, dryers and dish-washers
- Tumble driers
- Vacuum cleaners
- Hobs and range hoods
- Taps & showerheads
The nominated experts will be responsible for:
- Promoting ECOS’ position in relevant regulatory and standardisation meetings;
- Providing technical input and editing of official comments and position papers, in close cooperation with the ECOS responsible Programme Manager;
- Reporting to ECOS Programme Manager and completing agreed upon follow-up actions within the defined deadline;
Interested candidates should be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the specific product group(s) and topic area(s). Experience with, and understanding of, EU Ecodesign and Energy Labelling policies, as well as energy and resource efficiency policies are considered a strong asset. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to environmental NGO values. Fluency in English is a must.
