  • CALL FOR EXPERTS – Plastics Recycling

    Besides reuse, recycling of plastics also helps to reduce resource use and plastic pollution. Annex III of the European Strategy for Plastics stipulates that 10 million tonnes of recycled plastics should find their way into products in Europe in 2025. This requires circular product design, improved collection and sorting of plastic waste, as well as high-quality recycling systems while eliminating substances of concern.

    ECOS is looking for experts in the field of energy-related products under the Ecodesign framework to provide us with technical input and represent ECOS position in the development of standards and regulations. Expertise in the product group of taps and showers is a must.

  • CALL FOR EXPERTS – Steel for Construction

    As part of global efforts to combat climate change, the European Steel industry is required to undergo great transformation in order to contribute to the decarbonisation process. Reducing emissions through innovations in energy and improving material circularity will be key. Construction sector accounts for over half of demand and emissions for steel globally. Experience in this sector is desired.

  • CALL FOR EXPERTS – Sustainable Construction

    The construction sector accounts for about half of all extracted materials and energy consumption, a third of water consumption while generating one third of all waste. It is high on the EU policy agenda and an emerging priority topic for ECOS, since standards (can) play an important role to promote material-efficiency, decarbonisation as well as circular strategies in the sector.
