Twice a year, CEN and CENELEC organise a two-day training addressed to all those involved or interested in standardisation. The so-called StandardDays help participants understand the roles of standards, the standards development process and the link between standards and legislation. It also allows to explore current and upcoming trends in standardisation and the international context of European Standards.
For the first time ever, StandardDays 2016 invited ANEC, ETUC and ECOS to present how the use of standards can help increase societal welfare, working conditions and environmental protection. ECOS sees this CEN-CENELEC’s initiative as an important step towards raising awareness and building capacities of standardisers towards greater inclusiveness in standardisation.
