ECOS at the EU Sustainable Energy Week

ECOS co-organised and spoke at three different events at the 2015 EU Sustainable Energy Week:

Energy Label 2.015

The Coolproducts campaign, of which ECOS is a founding member of, held an event on the revision of the EU Energy Labelling Directive, looking at upcoming challenges, and possible solutions that will lead to quicker market transformation and better consumer empowerment. With ECOS’ Director Laura Degallaix moderating the panel discussion, insight was provided by policy makers and stakeholders, including Paul Hodson, Head of the European Commission’s (DG ENER) Energy Efficiency Unit, and MEP Claude Turmes (The Greens-EFA). Coolproducts’ views on the revision of the Energy Label can be found here

Exploring the potential of flexible demand

In an event focusing on how to capture the potential of flexible demand, the IDEAS platform, of which ECOS is a member of, demonstrated why realising the full potential of demand-side flexibility is essential, and why it must be a priority of action for the Energy Union, in order to collectively design an innovative energy paradigm for Europe’s energy transition.

The Vice President for the Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, addressed the audience in a video message which can be seen here.
